Day 1 Arrival Stockholm
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be escorted by car to your accommodation in the heart of the city near the Royal Castle and National Museum.
The remainder of your day will be spent at leisure.
Day 2 Stockholm
This morning, get to know the intriguing city of Stockholm and its fascinating history on a guided walking tour of Gamla Stan, one of the largest and best preserved medieval centres in Europe.
In the afternoon, enjoy some leisure time.
Day 3 Stockholm
Today you’ll have a full day to explore Stockholm on your own.
You could visit the Royal Palace, or explore the island of Djurgarden with its many museums including ABBA: The Museum, the Vasa Museum and Skansen Open-Air Museum. Alternatively, check out the photographic exhibitions at Fotografiska, or browse Stockholm’s exclusive shopping district, Ostermalm.

Day 4 Stockholm – Abisko
After breakfast, you’ll fly to Kiruna where you’ll be met and transferred to the Kappas Cabins in the Bjorkliden wilderness. Check in and relax before your evening excursion.
Explore the Abisko National Park, renowned as one of the best places to view the Northern Lights, in the company of a professional photographer. Try to capture some beautiful images of the natural spectacle and visit a local Sami camp.
Day 5 Abisko – Narvik
During the day you’ll go dog sledding through the snowy wilderness in the Abisko National Park.
In the evening, you’ll head to the Aurora Sky Station, renowned as the best place to watch the Northern Lights. Head up to the station in a chairlift, then enjoy dinner overlooking the wilderness. If you’re lucky, you’ll see the Northern Lights dance across the sky.
Day 6 Abisko – Jukkasjarvi
Wave goodbye to the Abisko National Park and head to your next accommodation: the ICEHOTEL. This hotel and art exhibition is created fresh each year using ice from the River Torne.
Settle in and explore your unique surroundings.
Day 7 Jukkasjarvi – Boden
This morning you’ll be driven to your next accommodation, the Treehotel in Boden. En route, stop to meet a local Sami reindeer herder, learn about their life and culture, and take a sleigh ride.
Check into your hotel and enjoy an afternoon at leisure.
Day 8 Boden
Today, you’re free to explore the area around the Treehotel at leisure.
Go hiking, white-water rafting, or sea kayaking. Take a guided tour of the Treehotel. Explore the area on horseback or bike, or get close to nature on a moose safari. Your Travel Designer can help plan activities to suit your interests prior to departure.
In the evening, gather around a campfire for a meal in nature with a local guide who’ll teach you about local plants and animals.
Day 9 Departure
Today you’ll be escorted to the airport for your flight to Stockholm, where you’ll continue on your journey home.
