Day 1
Arrival - Kwetsani Camp
Upon arrival at the airport you’ll be transferred to your accommodation.
After settling in, the remainder of the day will be spent at your leisure.
Located in the centre of the Jao Concession, Kwetsani sits on an elongated island covered with palm, mangosteen and fig trees. The raised dining room and lounge and bar areas all offer sweeping vistas of the surrounding floodplains and the plunge pool with loungers is the perfect spot for sunny afternoon siestas.
Day 2
Kwetsani Camp
Today you'll enjoy morning and afternoon game drives searching for lion, leopard, giraffe, hippos, elephants, crocodiles, rare sitatunga and lechwe antelope, and countless species of bird.
You can also choose to go boating and birding, try fishing and canoeing, or just lie back on the loungers at the pool while looking out for wildlife.
Day 3
Kwetsani Camp
Continue to enjoy your time on safari.
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives and the range of alternative activities available such as boating and birding, or fishing and canoeing.
Day 4
Okavango Delta – Moremi Game Reserve
Today you’ll fly to Moremi Game Reserve where you’ll be greeted by more than 4871 square kilometres of savannah, winding waterways, and dense forest.
After settling into your accommodation, the rest of the day will be spent at leisure.
All lodges in the Moremi are intimate, personal and provide the ultimate atmosphere to reconnect with nature. We recommend acclimatising to your surroundings and preparing for a traditional starlit boma dinner.
Day 5
Moremi Game Reserve
Today you’ll embark on your safari adventure.
The Moremi is home to the most endangered species of large mammals: the cheetah, white rhinoceros, black rhinoceros, African wild dog and lion. Over 500 bird species and over a 1,000 species of plants are also recognised here.
You'll enjoy morning and evening game drives discovering the incredible wildlife and nature of the region in between relaxation time for dining and simply soaking up your surroundings.
Day 6
Moremi Game Reserve
Continue to enjoy morning and evening game drives and perhaps give special attention to the amazing birdlife in the area.
With over 500 species in a space of just under 5,000 square kilometres, the sheer number of species is incredible. Among these special birds is the slaty egret and the much easier to find magnificent wattled cranes.
Relax in the evening with a massage.
Day 7
Moremi Game Reserve - Johannesburg
Today you’ll return from safari to civilisation.
Spend your time enjoying the pool, spa, terrace, and private dining options.
Day 8
Johannesburg – Bazaruto Archipelago
This morning you’ll fly to Mozambique.
Upon arrival at the airport you’ll be privately escorted to your accommodation.
After checking into your hotel the rest of the day will be free to spend at your leisure.
Day 9
Bazaruto Archipelago
Spend today enjoying your surroundings on the beautiful Bazaruto archipelago.
Here you can enjoy the beach, large dunes and freshwater lakes which provide an ideal nesting habitat for black-winged flamingos.
Head underwater and explore colourful corals teeming with marine life including manta rays, whale sharks, dolphins, turtles and dugongs. Deep-sea fishing, island-hopping, paddle boarding and sailing are also available.
Day 10
Bazaruto Archipelago
Spend the next two days at leisure.
Your Lightfoot Travel Designer will be able to advise on activities prior to departure.
Day 11
Departure
Today you’ll be escorted to the airport for your onward journey.
