With the largest freshwater wetlands in the whole of the Americas, Brazil’s Pantanal region is the best wildlife destination on the continent. Combine trekking and exploring with a few days in Rio or Sao Paolo, and round off your trip with beach and spa time (and a few cheeky cocktails) along the coast.

Machu Picchu may have put Peru on the map, but the country is home to endless captivating highlights, making it one of the most enthralling countries in South America. Take in the colourful carnival atmosphere of the Imperial City of Cusco, explore Lake Titica , the Amazon River, and hike through the Sacred Valley.
