Safari Highlights of Tanzania

Day 1
Arrival Arusha - Lake Duluti
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be escorted by car to your accommodation at Lake Duluti. Check into your hotel overlooking the magnificent crater lake.
Day 2
Lake Duluti - Ngorongoro
Enjoy breakfast overlooking Lake Duluti before transferring to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area via light aircraft.
After lunch you’re off on a safari game drive. If visiting between December and March, you may witness large herds of wildebeest and zebra grazing the plains. Watch the sunset, then enjoy a bush dinner.
Day 3
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy a day at leisure in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Join nature drives and walking safaris, have a banquet on the crater floor, or take an excursion to Olduvai Gorge and Shifting Sands. Your Travel Designer can help plan activities that suit your needs prior to departure.
Day 4
Ngorongoro – Grumeti
Enjoy one final game drive and bush lunch at Ngorongoro before your light aircraft flight to Grumeti. Upon arrival, you’ll be escorted by car to your lodge, enjoying a short safari game drive en route.
Day 5
Grumeti Reserve
Spend two days exploring the Grumeti Reserve. There are a number of safari activities on offer, including game drives, guided bush walks, and visits to an anti-poaching observation point.
Day 6
Grumeti Reserve
Today is at your own leisure. Experience cultural visits, laze around the pool, or ease weary muscles with a spa treatment.
Day 7
Grumeti Reserve – Serengeti National Park
It’s an early start as you depart the Grumeti Reserve for the flight to Serengeti National Park. Check into your luxurious camp, and relax before sundowners and dinner.
Day 8
Serengeti National Park
You have two days to explore the Serengeti National Park. The camp has excellent access to the annual wildebeest migration, where herds of wildebeest and zebra dodge the jaws of hippos and crocodiles while crossing the river.
During the hot afternoons, relax at your accommodation. Your Lightfoot Travel Designer can recommend activities prior to departure.
Day 9
Serengeti National Park
Discover the wonders of the Serengeti National Park. Embark on a game drive in search of spotting the Big 5, or simply relax back at the camp whilst taking in your surroundings.
Day 10
Departure
Today you’ll be escorted to the airport for your onward journey.
