Day 5
Kandy – Tea Country
This morning you’ll travel south from Kandy into Sri Lanka’s vertiginous Tea Country, so-named for the velveteen tea plantations that carpet the misty hills.
Check into your secluded boutique and spend some time settling in by going for a swim or indulging in a massage before enjoying a candlelit dinner.
Day 6
Tea Country
You can choose how you’d like to spend today. Perhaps you’d like to enjoy a picnic at a secluded spot by a secret waterfall; embark on a guided nature wall through God’s forest; or learn how to make Hoppers, a traditional Sri Lankan snack.
Alternatively, just chill out by the infinity pool.
Day 7
Yala National Park
Today you’ll be transferred from the hills to the edge of Yala National Park. On the way you’ll stop at Buduruwagala, a series of seven well-preserved Buddhist figures carved into sheer rock.
Yala National Park is the island’s premier game reserve, home to a dense population of leopards, elephants and sloth bears.
After checking into your luxury tent there’ll be time for a quick dip in the pool before dinner. We recommend eating al fresco on rocks by the water’s edge.
Day 8
Yala National Park
Rise early to go on a thrilling game drive in your jeep. Your guides will tell you what wildlife to look out for, and you’ll take a picnic breakfast with you to enjoy under a shady tree.
You’ll return in time for lunch and relaxation before setting out on a second game drive in the early evening.
Enjoy dinner back at the lodge and retire early for an indulgent bath and an early night.
Day 9

Enjoy another day of morning and evening game drives looking out for elephants, wild birds, sloth bears and the elusive Sri Lankan leopard.
Fit in a soothing couples’ massage before ending your day dining-a-deux by candlelight.
