Day 1
Arrival Antananarivo
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be escorted by car to your accommodation in Antananarivo, known locally as Tana. The remainder of your day will be spent at leisure.
Day 2
Antananarivo – Anjajavy
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Ivato Airport for your charter flight to Anjajavy, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to your accommodation.
Anjajavy le Lodge offers 24 luxurious villas set amongst a forest reserve, rich in biodiversity. There is a wealth of animals and plant species here, some of them critically endangered, including several types of lemurs, numerous bird species, and chameleons.
Day 3
Anjajavy
Start your day with a walking tour to the ‘crab highway’. In addition to spotting the famous hairy crabs, you’ll see colourful birdlife and iconic baobab trees, before finishing the walk at a small cove where you can see some fossils.
Return to your lodge for lunch and a relaxing afternoon.
Day 4
Anjajavy
Today’s excursion takes you along the Giant’s Causeway and King’s Avenue to see the tsingy – eroded limestone pinnacles. Along the way, you’ll see abundant wildlife including a variety of lemurs and some Madagascan flora and fauna that’s unique to this spot.
Return to your lodge for lunch and a leisurely afternoon.
Day 5
Anjajavy – Diego Suarez – Nosy Ankao
Board your private charter flight to Diego Suarez, where you’ll be welcomed by Miavana staff and escorted to Nosy Ankao by private helicopter.
This remote island sanctuary is the largest of five islands in a reef-protected archipelago, where Time + Tide Miavana has 14 exclusive, private villas overlooking the beach and Indian Ocean.
Day 6
Nosy Ankao
Over the next three days, you can choose from a host of excursions and activities offered at the resort, including their special Blue Safari activities. Complimentary activities include scuba diving and snorkelling, watersports, guided lemur trekking and nature walks, fishing, boat cruises, cycling, and cultural activities. You can also choose helicopter excursions at additional cost.
Day 7
Departure
This morning, you’ll catch the helicopter back to Diego Suarez for your private charter flight to Tana, where you’ll be assisted with your onward flight. (International departures from Nosy Be are also an option, depending on your onward arrangements.)
