The Galapagos is such a unique destination teeming with endemic species. I’ll always remember my first Galapagos snorkelling trip where I encountered inquisitive baby sea lions, numerous sea turtles, eagle rays and the odd penguin diving down to catch fish.
Upon arrival you’ll be transferred to your accommodation.
Today you’ll fly from Guayaquil to Baltra and hope on either a boat or another domestic flight to Isabela Island. Go on an excursion of the island for the rest of the day.
Today you’ll explore Isabela Island.
Head to Sierra Negra and walk along the rim of Galapagos’ largest caldera spotting finches, flycatchers, mockingbirds, and perhaps the Galapagos hawk; go to the Tintoreras Islets and board the bay cruiser to explore a maze of reefs and islets; or embark on a coastal trail along the Wall of Tears, taking you through mangroves and brackish lagoons while looking for coastal Darwin finches, doves, stilts, ducks, flamingos, herons and giant tortoises.
Fly back to Baltra before crossing the Itabaca Channel to Santa Cruz Island. Here you’ll explore the natural volcanic formation of Los Gemelos, and visit the Tortoise Reserve and lava tunnels.
In the afternoon, you’ll be escorted to your accommodation and the rest of the day will be spent at your leisure.
