Upon arrival in Dublin, you’ll be met by a Lightfoot Travel representative and privately escorted to your hotel.
After settling into your accommodation, you’ll meet your private guide who will show you the city through the eyes of a local and stop for a welcome beverage along the way.
As capital city of Ireland, Dublin is steeped in history and culture and has plenty of sights to see from museums to Georgian squares, Viking artefacts and cobbled streets.
Today you’ll have some spare time to explore Dublin’s highlights. We recommend visiting National Museum, National Gallery of Ireland, and St. Stephen’s Green. You will have a romantic dinner at a delicious local restaurant.
Today you will travel Northwards to the Historical Boyne Valley in County Meath.
This glorious hill is best remembered as the royal seat of the high kings in the early centuries of the millennium before Christianity came to Ireland.
Continue to the Bru na Boinne Centre which is designed to present the archaeological heritage of the Boyne Valley which includes the megalithic passage tomb of Newgrange.
Today you will have the time to relax, sleep-in, and have breakfast in bed. You might like to visit the Love Lane. The lane is a part of the Love the Lanes project, which focuses on turning the dark streets of Dublin into vibrant and exciting areas.
This morning your rental car will be delivered to your hotel and set off for one of the most romantic castle hotels in Ireland, Ashford Castle, which is located in the quaint village of Cong in County Mayo overlooking Lough Corrib.
Hollywood came to Cong in the early 1950s for the making of ‘The Quiet Man’ movie and put this sleepy village on the map ever since.
Enjoy champagne afternoon tea at Ashford Castle and remainder of the day at leisure.
Today you will take a romantic boat trip in a traditional wooden boat on Lough Corrib with your own private skipper. Tour the islands dotted around the lake and sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty of this place. On returning to the castle warm up with an Irish Coffee.
You will visit the truly unspoilt regions of Ireland - Connemara. From the rugged Twelve Bens mountain range in the north through lake-rich Roundstone Bog to the golden beaches reaching out into the Atlantic Ocean.
Visit Kylemore Abbey which is regarded as one of Ireland's most romantic buildings. Visitors are also welcome to visit restored neo-Gothic Church (circa 1871), Mausoleum, gardens, restaurant and craft shop.
Today, you will travel back in time to the Aran Islands. You can either fly or take a ferry to the islands. Do not miss Inis Mor, the largest of the 3 islands.
On arrival on Inis Mor, you can tour the island by minibus, bike, pony & cart or on foot. Here, on the very edge of Europe, is an island rich in the language, culture and heritage of Ireland, unique in its geology and archaeology and in its long tradition of gentle hospitality.
After checking out of your hotel, you will be transferred to the Shannon Airport for your onward flights.
