Join sporting legends rugby star Sean Fitzpatrick and Olympic gold medallist Michael Johnson for a trip of a lifetime. Trek 100km over four days through New Zealand's South Island. Not only will you be able to challenge yourself and meet 99 new people from around the world, but you will be able to help raise money for those less fortunate at the same time.

Lightfoot Travel has joined with Just Challenge to give you the chance to take part in Challenge New Zealand 2020 from 30 November to 5 December 2020. This once-in-a-lifetime trip involves a 100km trek through New Zealand's South Island with Former All Blacks Captain, Sean Fitzpatrick and Four Time Olympic Gold Medallist, Michael Johnson to raise funds for Laureus Sport for Good, which supports disadvantaged children in sport. The trek lasts four days (25km walking each day). It is open to all abilities and will bring together 100 individuals from different countries, industries and backgrounds.

The guestlist of participants is extraordinary, with a huge number of multinational companies represented. Who knows who you will meet on your journey?

The trek will take you past the spectacular Mavora Lakes and into the Mt Nicholas Station area of rural South Island. If you're a fan of Lord of the Rings you might recognise some of this locations as Hollywood backdrops. You will then cross those mountain passes, which offer spectacle views of Lake Wakatipu.

There are just a handful of spaces on the challenge, so we encourage you to apply today at www.just-challenge.com/newzealand2020.

Your itinerary:

When you arrive you will take a short coach ride to a remote wilderness camp where you will be able to spend the night under the stars and meet your fellow travellers around the campfire.

On the first day of your trek you will enjoy a 25km walk through New Zealand's picturesque native forest. Then the following day you will hike another 25 km through a high country setting that comes with sub alpine tussock basins. On the penultimate day you will continue towards Lake Wakatipu and trek through a variety of changing landscapes before you spend the night camped on the shores of the lake. On your final day of hiking you will walk from the lakeside camp over an alpine saddle and finish the looped track in Mt Nicholas Woolshed. During the day hikers will be split into four groups of 25, while in the evening the 100 guests will be able to dine and socialise together.

After your trek, why not explore more of New Zealand? The lodges are the perfect place to unwind, eat delicious food and relax those weary muscles. Speak to a Lightfoot Travel expert to create your bespoke itinerary.

We hope to see you in New Zealand in March with Just Challenge, Laureus Sport for Good, Michael Johnson, Sean Fitzpatrick and 99 others!
