Scarfes Bar in the Rosewood Hotel or the bar at the Connaught [designed by David Collins]. Everyone is now going crazy for a single malt and you’ll find that these bars always have small batches ready.
There is this Argentina restaurant in W2 called Casa Malevo that does great coffee. But to be truthful, I also like the coffee in Pret [A Manger].
Like fashion and food, art is no longer so elitist. The entry level has dropped. Three quarters of Columbia Road is filled with great stores. There is also the new Damien Hirst gallery on Newport Street. The first exhibition is John Hoyland. It used to be where they stored scenery for the theatre so you have this vast space with high ceilings. It’s a great place to see art.
