Fans love the brown sugar sand and the sheltered cove that makes it easy for swimming. After taking a dip in the Atlantic, kickback with a fresh coconut from one of the beach shacks and top up your tan. Visitors at sunset will get to find out why the beach is called Vermelha, because when the sun drops out of the sky it starts to take on a crimson glow.
Bondi may have the celebrity lifeguards, but Bronte is where you really need to throw down your towel. Loved by surfers for its rolling waves, this stretch of golden sand is also less touristy than Bondi. It is the perfect place to go for a swim and enjoy the café culture afterwards. However, if you want to stretch your legs you can stroll along the Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk to enjoy some of the best places in New South Wales.
Looking for an adventure? Then catch a boat to Tai Long Wan (Big Wave Bay). You can rent sports gear on the beach and take to the surf, or you can take a hike to the waterfall and cool off in its natural pool. If you’re feeling even more daring, you can hike up the rocks and jump Beyonce style from the cliffs into the water.
