From the famous Côte d’Azur to Avignon, this itinerary reveals some iconic sights as well as some exclusive experiences based around history and gastronomy, which are both intricately linked in this superb region.
Upon arrival at the airport you’ll be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel.
The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore or relax, followed by dinner at the hotel’s restaurant.
Enjoy a leisurely first morning making the most of the hotel’s garden and facilities.
In the afternoon you’ll visit the picturesque village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
Stroll through its narrow streets and discover some remarkable art galleries featuring prominent artists from around the world.
You’ll continue to the Maeght Foundation, a museum showcasing one of Europe’s most important collections of paintings, drawings and sculptures of the 20th century from Chagall to Miró, and Calzolari to Dietman.
After breakfast, you’ll be escorted to the famous town of Nice, its markets and the Cours Saleya.
Together with your guide you’ll explore the gardens of the Chateau de Nice and visit The Matisse and/or Chagall museums, making sure to fit in lunch and some shopping as you go.
This morning you’ll head to your next destination, St Tropez.
On the way you’ll visit Tourrettes-sur-Loup, a stunning medieval village, and Grasse, the world perfume capital where you can visit the International Perfume Museum and gardens. You’ll also enjoy a wine tasting at the Chateau Saint-Maur at Cogolin.
You’ll have time to settle into your hotel before dinner at one of the hotel’s restaurants or in Saint Tropez
St Tropez has lost nothing of the glitzy charm that has made it famous, and you’ll spend the day discovering this. Be sure to admire the super yachts moored in the port, try a slice of La Tarte Tropezienne, and enjoy a drink at the Senequier while watching the world go by.
Today you’ll head on to Avignon making a stop in Aix-en-Provence on the way. Here you’ll see the chic Quartier Mazarin, the picturesque old town, and the daily market on the Place Richelme.
After lunch you’ll be driven to Avignon via the stunning Luberon region of Provence. During the drive you’ll see the iconic hilltop villages of Bonnieux, Lacoste, Rousillon and Gordes.
After settling into your accommodation the rest of the day will be spent at leisure.
Start your day with a visit to the Palace of the Popes, one of the largest Gothic monuments in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll also visit the famous Pont d’Avignon - the bridge that spans half of the Rhone River.
In the afternoon discover Les Baux de Provence and the ruins of its medieval castle, or visit Arles, once an important Roman trading post.
Celebrate your last evening with a special dinner where your chef will prepare your meal in front of you.
Today you’ll be escorted to the airport for your onward journey home.
