If you have more time, instead of returning to Sydney continue this itinerary with a drive north via Byron Bay and the Gold Coast which is the theme park town of Australia. Offering five large Theme Parks it’s perfect for kids of any age.
Upon arrival in Sydney you’ll be met at the airport by a representative and escorted to your hire car.
You'll make your way to your accommodation, and after settling in, head towards some of Sydney’s highlights including the historic Rocks precinct, the Opera House and the Botanical Gardens. You’ll continue through Woolloomooloo, Kings Cross and into Rushcutters bay where you’ll have lunch.
Afterwards, you’ll visit Bondi Beach before ending the day on a private cruise around Sydney Harbour.
This morning you’ll drive to the Blue Mountains, stopping at Featherdale Wildlife Park to see kangaroos, koalas, wallabies and wombats en route.
You’ll also stop at Kings Tableland, famous for its views over the Jamison Valley, before reaching your destination of Wolgan Valley.
Today you can explore your surroundings with knowledgeable Field Guides. Children will love searching for resident kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and birdlife. Other activities include archery, kite making, learning Bush Arts & Crafts, horse riding, and taking part in the Junior Ranger Program.
Adults can relax in the spa, play tennis or enjoy nature walks, fly-fishing and mountain biking.

This morning you’ll drive to Hunter Valley, a stunning journey passing the old townships of Mt. Victoria, Richmond and Windsor.
After lunch you’ll continue through the village of Wollombi, established by convicts 200 years ago, and enter into the Hunter Valley.
The rest of the day will be spent at your leisure.
Today starts in the Hunter Valley at Ivanhoe wines where you’ll meet Stephen, a fifth generation Drayton, who’s had the knowledge of vineyards handed down from father to son for over 140 years. Here you’ll sample a range of their best offerings and learn about the wine-making process.
If wine tasting is not your thing, there are plenty of other activities available including horse riding, mountain biking and walking trails.
After breakfast you’ll journey to Newcastle.
Once a colony for Great Britain’s worst-behaved convicts, today it’s one of the top ten cities in the world.
Spend time exploring the boutique shops or hitting the beach before heading two hours north along the Pacific Highway to Forster, a small coastal town.
Here you’ll find great beaches, cafes and boutiques, along with the chance to try kayaking, enjoy a scenic coastal walk, or sample the local cuisine.
This morning you’ll head to South West Rocks, approximately two hours away.
South West Rocks is famous for great beaches so this is your chance to go surfing or simply relax on the sand.
Afterwards, you’ll continue to Coffs Harbour before checking into your hotel.
After breakfast you’ll head on a three-hour drive to vibrant Byron Bay.

Today you’ll be driven down the coast to Yamba, just over 90 minutes away.
After spending a relaxing morning on the beach you’ll head to Port Macquarie, another coastal town where you should keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and whales.
Today you’ll return to Sydney via the Pacific Highway.
You’ll stop in Harrigan on the way before reaching the airport for your onward journey.
