Day 1 Arrival Aukland - Bay of Islands
Upon arrival at the airport you’ll be transferred on a domestic flight to the Bay of Islands in Northland.
The remainder of your day will be spent at leisure.
Day 2 Bay of Islands
Start your day with a fishing expedition to three private beaches in the Bay of Islands. The chef at your accommodation will prepare your catch as part of your evening meal.
Spend the afternoon exploring the region at leisure via a scenic flight or private boat cruise. If you wish, you can catch a wave on a surfing adventure.
Day 3 Bay of Islands
Today is a treat for golf aficionados as you have the opportunity to play the superb course at The Lodge, ranked in the top world’s 40 golf courses.
If golf isn’t your game, enjoy one of the region’s trekking routes or indulge in a day at the spa.
Day 4 Bay of Islands - Hawke's Bay
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Hawke’s Bay, one of New Zealand’s top wine regions and a magnet for foodies. Once you’ve settled into your accommodation, head out to explore the 6,000-acre working sheep and cattle farm. For some extra adventure, explore by horseback or quad-bike.
Day 5 Hawke's Bay
The Farm at Cape Kidnappers is home to the country’s native bird, the elusive kiwi. Today, you’ll join the Kiwi Discovery Walk in search of seeing the bird in its natural habitat.
You have a choice of afternoon activities – enjoy a scenic flight over the region or go on a wine tour of Hawke’s Bay’s boutique vineyards.
Day 6 Hawke's Bay
Today you can play a round or two of golf on the course at Cape Kidnappers, another of the world’s top ranking courses.
Alternatively, relax in the spa or enjoy a hike to the gannet colony.
Day 7 Hawke's Bay - Lake Wakatipu
Depart Hawke’s Bay on a domestic flight to Queenstown, where you’ll be transferred to your accommodation.
Enjoy an afternoon at leisure. Take a scenic cruise up and down the lake on the 100-year-old steamer TSS Earnslaw, or get the adrenaline pumping with a jet boat ride. Your Lightfoot Travel Designer will be able to advise on activities prior to departure.
Day 8 Lake Wakatipu – Milford Sound – Doubtful Sound
Enjoy a day’s excursion to Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound on a combined helicopter and boat adventure.
In the evening, unwind with a massage in the spa.
Day 9 Departure
Today you’ll be escorted to the airport for your onward journey.
