Upon arrival at the airport, you'll be met by a representative and privately transferred to your hotel, approximately 30 minutes' away.
After settling in to your accommodation, the remainder of your day will be spent at leisure.
This morning you’ll be met at your hotel for a tour of Phnom Penh. You’ll see the iconic buildings of the city including the Post Office square, Van’s Restaurant, and some of the locations used in the film City of Ghosts. You’ll also visit some lesser-known Chinese temples.
Visit Le Bibliotheque, the striking national library; the classic Raffles Hotel Le Royal; the beautiful Phnom Penh Railway Station; and the Central Market.
The Cambodian capital has a thriving street scene and you’ll start your day with a guided tour of local markets and back streets. Sample local drinks, try out some delicacies such as fried insects (optional!) or Cambodian waffles. Try barbecued skewers and fruit shakes and end with a barbecue dinner at a popular riverside restaurant.
The afternoon will be spent at leisure and you can choose whether you’d like to stay in Phnom Penh or return to the luxury of your hotel.
This morning you’ll be collected by your guide for a cycling tour.
See a slice of rural Cambodia and stop off to learn how the silk-weavers produce beautiful sarongs and scarves.
In the afternoon you’ll be escorted to a nearby island in the Mekong River called Koh Dach, also known as ‘Silk Island’. Here you can see the weaving techniques first-hand and experience the realities of village life before returning by ferry and tuk-tuk to the capital.
After checking out of your hotel you'll be transferred to Kep, approximately four hours' drive away. The road passes through some gorgeous rural areas and there may be some good photo opportunities.
On arrival, enjoy lunch in the Crab Market before heading out to explore Kep with your guide.
This morning you’ll enjoy a day of activities.
You can choose how you’d like to spend your time, but this could include a boat trip to Rabbit Island, home to a small community of fisherfolk and farmers; a visit to Phnom Chhnork cave pagoda, a large cave that contains a 7th century brick temple; or embarking on a Kampot Boat Sunset Cruise as the sun sets behind the mountain of Bokor.
Your Lightfoot Travel Designer can advise on activities to suit you prior to departure.
Rise early for a morning visit to Kep Crab Market, a seafood lover’s destination especially noted for its fresh crab that can be brought direct from the fishermen.
Afterwards, take a cooking class to learn three famous Cambodian recipes and enjoy the fruits of your labour with a lunch overlooking a nearby lake.
Continue your day with a tour of the pepper vines. A local guide will explain the entire pepper process from planting and picking, to processing and packing.
At the end of your tour, you'll be driven to the Six Senses jetty where you'll board the Six Senses cruiser for the short crossing to Krabey Island.
Today will be free to spend at your leisure. We recommend starting with a yoga class, watching a Khmer cooking demonstration, and enjoying a signature Kampot pepper scrub at the indulgent spa before toasting the evening with some beachside cocktails.
After breakfast you'll be met by a representative and transported by speedboat to Alila Koh Russey in Koh Rong Archipelago.
Spend the day relaxing at the resort.
Enjoy some free time today.
Go island hopping, head on a temple tour, sign up for a customised spa treatment, or embark on a spiritual encounter with a visit to the Ream Pagoda. Alternatively, just kick back in your beautiful beachy surroundings.
After breakfast you'll be privately transferred by boat to Sihanoukville Pier. Upon arrival, you'll be met by your driver for your private transfer to Shinta Mani Wild, approximately three hours' drive away.
The rest of your day is free for you to relax.
