Classic Cambodia
From spiritual Siem Reap to frenetic Phnom Penh to the coastal charms of the Koh Rong Archipelago, Cambodia is a glorious destination in which to immerse yourself in a fascinating culture and where you can seek out the truly spectacular.
Day 1
Arrive Siem Reap
Upon your arrival in Siem Reap, you’ll be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel for check in.
Your first tour introduces you to Cambodia’s rich food history. You’ll learn about ingredients, sample the markets, street food stalls and hard to find restaurants, and visit lesser-known hotspots where the locals like to eat.
Day 2
Siem Reap
This morning you’ll visit the temple of Banteay Srei which displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art and bas-reliefs.
Afterwards, you’ll go to the Golden Silk Pheach Farm, a local NGO. The farm area, mulberry trees and weaving ateliers can be seen as part of the excursion.
You’ll return to Siem Reap for lunch before heading to Kompheim Village where you’ll be escorted on a walking tour, wandering past rice fields, buffalo and oxen, and the local community.
There’ll be the chance to stop at a local pagoda for a monk blessing, before finishing the day at a local house, enjoying a glass of wine and canapés as the sun sets.
Day 3
Siem Reap
You’ll start the day with an early morning visit to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat.
Your tour then continues to Srah Srong – a 900-year-old baray (man-made lake) – for a Champagne breakfast.
Afterwards, you’ll move on to the mid-12th century Ta Prohm temple which has been left largely as it was found: overgrown by jungle trees and vines.
From here you’ll go to the ancient city of Angkor Thom.
In the evening you’ll attend a performance of ‘Phare, the Cambodian Circus’.
Day 4
Siem Reap - Phnom Penh
After breakfast you’ll be transferred to Siem Reap for your flight to Phnom Penh, where you’ll be met on arrival and driven to your hotel.
This afternoon, you’ll experience the sights of Phnom Penh in a Cyclo, an original Phnom Penh means of transportation and a fun way to visit Wat Phnom, the Royal Palace, and the National Museum.
In the evening you’ll enjoy a traditional dance performance by Cambodian Living Arts (CLA).
Day 5
