Onguma The Fort
Etosha National ParkPart of the Onguma Reserve in the eastern borders of Etosha, Onguma The Fort is a luxury lodge with sunset views over the Etosha Pans. In contrast to most safari lodges, this unique, Kasbah-style lodge has massive walls, a central tower and a distinctly Moroccan-Indian aesthetic.
Onguma The Fort houses 11 mini suites plus a honeymoon suite and Sultan Suite. The spacious rooms have large beds draped in mosquito nets, indoor and outdoor showers, and verandas where you can watch the sunset while listening to the roar of lions. The Sultan Suite has a lounge, private viewing deck and large bath in addition to the two showers.
The restaurant serves authentic south African cuisine with a subtle north African influence, and guests can choose their wine from the extensive wine cellar.
The wildlife-based activities include Etosha game drives, sundowner drives, interpretive guided bush walks, viewing hides, and birdwatching. Back at The Fort, cool down in the outdoor swimming pool.
