Atacama Desert & Icebergs of Antarctica
Embark on a unique adventure combining Chile’s Atacama Desert and the spectacular Antarctica. Stay at Awasi to explore the desert with your own 4x4 and guide, before flying across the Drake Passage for an adventure in the ‘White Desert’.

Day 1 Arrival Santiago
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be escorted by car to your accommodation in the heart of the Bellavista district.
The remainder of your day will be spent at leisure.

Day 2 Santiago – Atacama Desert
Leave Santiago this morning for a domestic flight to Calama, where you’ll be collected and transferred to your accommodation in the Atacama Desert.
Check into the Awasi Atacama, which provides a private guide and personal 4x4 for the next four days.

Day 3 Atacama Desert
Spend the next few days exploring the stark landscape of the Atacama Desert with your private guide. The activities will be tailored to your interests, including horse riding, hiking, mountain biking, and photography, with plenty of opportunities to appreciate the landscape and observe the birds and other wildlife that live there.

Day 4 Atacama Desert – Puntas Arenas
Return to Santiago for the domestic flight to Puntas Arenas, Patagonia.
After checking into Cabo de Hornos, you’ll enjoy an afternoon at leisure.
Day 5 Puntas Arenas
Enjoy a day at leisure exploring Puntas Arenas. In the afternoon, you’ll meet with your fellow travellers for a briefing on your Antarctic cruise, before enjoying a communal meal.

Day 6 Puntas Arenas – South Shetland Islands
This morning, you’ll fly across the Drake Passage to the Chilean Air Force Base on South Shetland Island. Board your ship for the adventure of a lifetime.

Day 7 Antarctica
You’ll spend the next four days exploring the Antarctic on your ship.
The itinerary is fairly flexible depending on weather conditions and wildlife sightings, but you’ll have plenty of opportunities to observe the unique marine life and mesmerizing landscapes, and get close to the wildlife on zodiac boat excursions.

Day 8 South Shetland Islands – Puntas Arenas
Today, the boat will return to King George Island where you’ll catch your flight back to Puntas Arenas.
Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation for the evening.

Day 9 Puntas Arenas - Chilean Winelands
Catch a flight back to Santiago this morning, where you’ll be transferred the short distance to your accommodation in the Chilean Winelands.
Enjoy a tour and wine tasting at the vineyards, before a dinner complemented with fine wines.

Day 10 Departure
Today you’ll be escorted to the airport for your onward journey.
