South Georgia & The Falkland Islands are nothing short of spectacular offering an incredible wildlife experience. Here you can follow in the footsteps of the great Polar explorers to discover one of the last untamed areas on Earth – one of the rugged landscapes and amazing wildlife including vast colonies of king penguins, elephants and fur seals. No nature programme can prepare you – set sail and see it yourself!

Day 1 Arrival Puerto Madryn, Argentina
Upon arrival you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
For the rest of the day you’ll be free to explore the city, and take advantage of the sandy beaches and restaurant-lined promenade with views of the wild Península Valdés.

Day 2 Embark to Puerto Madryn
In the afternoon you’ll be escorted to the pier and welcomed aboard your luxury expedition ship. You’ll have some time to go through safety instructions and get comfortable in your new home for the adventure to come.
You’ll set sail and by evening you’ll have your first chance to spot whales as we pass through Golfo Nuevo.

Day 3 South Atlantic Ocean
From Golfo Nuevo you’ll sail through the South Atlantic Ocean toward the Falkland Islands, looking for dolphins and whales along the way.
When you’re not soaking up the scenery you can pass the time with presentations and workshops laid on by the expert staff, as well as a range of onboard recreational facilities.

Day 4 Falkland Islands
Today you’ll reach the Falkland Islands, otherwise known as a birders’ paradise. You’ll visit some of the isolated outer islands where large colonies of penguins and albatross are easily accessible. Fur seals and elephant seals can also be found on the sandy beaches, while the waters around the archipelago are home to various whale and dolphin species.

Day 5 Southern Ocean
From the Falkland Islands you’ll head east toward South Georgia, passing the remote, seabird-covered pinnacles known as Shag Rocks. You’ll also cross the Antarctic Convergence, the biological boundary of the Southern Ocean.

Day 6 South Georgia
South Georgia is a scenic wilderness and perfect for subantarctic wildlife viewing. The islands are said to host upwards of 100 million seabirds, including albatross, king penguins, prions, petrels and terns. On the beaches elephant seals and three million fur seals jostle for space among penguins. The waters surrounding South Georgia are also inhabited by whales.
Your days in South Georgia will be filled with excursions, sumptuous meals, presentations by our experts, and enough incredible scenery and wildlife to provide memories for a lifetime.

Day 7 Southern Ocean
You’ll sail from South Georgia back toward the Falkland Islands, spotting pelagic seabirds from the panoramic open decks as we go.
