MS Seaventure

Travel to the truly unique and unrivaled destination of Antarctica aboard the MS Seaventure. Seaventure offers a range of different voyages to the stunning and wildlife-rich Antarctic Peninsula, The Falkland Islands, and St Georgia Island. Depending on the chosen departure, the voyages begin from Ushuaia or Puerto Madryn in Argentina. The voyages last between 12 and 22 days, offering passengers an incredible insight into the wildlife, history, and landscape of this remote corner of the globe.

MS Seaventure is 1-A Super ice-class rated, the highest rating for passenger vessels that allows for the exploration of Antarctica’s remote coves, bays, and channels seen by few visitors to this destination. The large and beautifully appointed common areas offer passengers impeccable views wherever they are during the voyage.

Seaventure accommodates 139 passengers across a range of modern staterooms and suites with the comforts of a flat-screen TV, mini bar, and a cozy bed to rest after an exciting day. Many come with verandas and balconies which is a nice addition for a quiet G&T when moored in a quiet bay. With areas like the fitness area, sauna, lounge, dining areas, and their custom-built citizen science lab, there is plenty to keep passengers entertained during the Drake Passage sailings.

Daily explorations by zodiac on foot and by kayak are led by a superb highly trained expedition team, many of whom are experts in their fields such as marine biology, geology, history, penguins among others. There is the onboard Citizen Science Program. Passengers can join the team and be involved in gathering data for partners such as Nasa and the Scripps Institute. Photography, kayaking, and camping overnight on the Antarctic continent are all possible and will enhance any trip. Bookings include two pre-cruise nights at Arakur Hotel & Spa up in the hills overlooking Ushuaia.

Location & Getting There
As a compact expedition vessel, MS Seaventure can head to more remote ports and destinations than larger ships. Itineraries depart from the Argentine cities of Ushuaia and Puerto Madryn.

Accommodation
Aboard Seaventure guests can choose from five different categories of staterooms or their exclusive Owner Suites. All accommodations feature exterior views from a private balcony, large window, or porthole, a sitting area, flat-screen TV, mini bar, and can be arranged to accommodate varying bed configurations.

Activities
An expedition aboard MS Seaventure provides much more than a typical luxury cruise ship experience. Given that excursions like these provided by Seaventure are a truly unique privilege into one of the world’s most untouched environments, an opportunity given to all guests is to try their hand at shooting photographs of their one-of-a-kind experience, led by one of the onboard professional photography coaches.

Seaventure also includes a state-of-the-art Citizen Science Program that guests are welcomed to partake in data-gathering activities that help support major research projects in Antarctica such as seabird surveys, marine mammal identification, and other ongoing research projects. Guests can opt for additional activities such as paddling amongst icebergs in kayaks (available on all voyages) or camp under the Antarctic stars (available on Peninsula and Circle Crossing Voyages).

Children
It is suggested that children must be at least 12 or older to partake in Seaventure voyages. However, based on case-by-case circumstances, children between the ages of 7-11 may be permitted on the voyage. With additional screening and approval prior to booking, parents/guardians will be required to complete a Child Waiver before boarding the Seaventure.
