Pokhara & Annapurna

Pokhara is the second-largest city in Nepal after Kathmandu, and one of the country's most popular tourist destinations.

Three out of the ten highest mountains in the world (Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I and Manaslu) are located less than 30 miles away from the city, resulting in a dramatically beautiful northern skyline. Pokhara is also very close to the Annapurna mountain range and serves as a base for trekkers and mountain climbers making their way to the Annapurna Circuit.

Annapurna is often translated as Goddess of the Harvests in Sanskrit and is a 55 kilometer-long section of the Himalayas. This circuit is extremely popular, and the Annapurna Conservation Area is the first and largest conservation area in Nepal.
