The restaurant at Zhiwa Ling Ascent serves Bhutanese cuisine, using fresh, organic vegetables from the garden with prime cuts of meat and fish from Australia and New Zealand. There’s a well-stocked bar adjoining the restaurant, while the rooftop boasts a lounge bar with 360º views of the valley and mountains.
Activities include hiking and mountain biking, exploring Thimphu’s monasteries, nunneries and temples, learning about Bhutan’s national animal at the neighbouring takin preserve, and enjoying the view from Buddha Point.
