Lamanai Outpost Lodge
BelizeLamanai Outpost Lodge is a rustic jungle hideaway set on the banks of the New River Lagoon in Belize.
There are 20 thatched cabanas on the property offering a comfortable stay while overlooking the garden or lagoon depending on room type. While only two of the rooms are air-conditioned, the rest are well ventilated and come with ceiling fans to ensure guests are kept cool.
The Lamanai Outpost Lodge houses an open-air restaurant and bar with panoramic views of the lagoon where guests can savour fresh Belizean cuisine.
Featured on National Geographic Explorer as one of Belize’s finest lodges, Lamanai Outpost is the premier birding destination with almost 400 species sighted within three miles of the lodge. Check out species such as the pygmy kingfisher, black collared hawks and Yucatan nightjars among many others. One of the many highlights is to paddle a canoe on Crab-Catcher Lagoon to take in the sunrise and witness the spectacle of birds awakening.

Nestled in jungle serenity, guests can access Lamanai Outpost Lodge from Belize International Airport with a combination of river and road trips.
Accommodation
There are 20 cabanas with views of the garden or lagoon depending on room type. Each come with hot and cold private bath and ceiling fans, and guests can kick back and enjoy the natural breeze coming in from the lagoon. Some rooms are able to accommodate triples and families.
Activities
During your stay, there will never be a shortage of activities. Take exciting excursions such as a night crocodile-encounter aboard a Florida style airboat, float down a jungle river as you eat breakfast, explore the long abandoned Mayan ruins just minutes away from your cabana or simply relax in a hammock overlooking the lagoon.
