Activities
The magnificent natural beauty of the area begins on-site with landscaped gardens and the Royal Mail Kitchen Garden, one of Australia’s largest hotel kitchen gardens. The garden produces a diverse range of organic heirloom vegetables, herbs, edible flowers, fruit, and nuts, which are then creatively incorporated into the day’s menu, including the signature experience, an 8-course Chef’s Tasting Menu, a food lover’s delight.
Less gluttonous, but no less indulgent exploits include trekking through the rugged rural landscape of the Grampians National Park, where vast waterways, volcanic plains, and passionate farmers await. There’s also a native wildlife enclosure where you can get up close and personal with unusual creatures, and the charming town of Dunkeld, where museums, galleries, artist’s studios, and quaint shops make for a great day out.
