Launched in 2006, Raja Laut is a modern incarnation of a 19th-century trading schooner, designed for private charter journeys in the remote, offshore islands of Southeast Asia. This 100ft yacht, whose name means King of the Seas in Malay, was constructed from hardwood and comes with the latest satellite communications and offshore internet connectivity.
The vessel accommodates up to 12 guests in double and twin rooms, each with air-conditioning and en suite. There’s a communal lounge and dining area inside, while the teak deck contains sun loungers and an alfresco dining table.
The experienced crew includes a cruise director, captain, divemaster, and a gourmet chef. There’s plenty to keep guests entertained with fishing and dive equipment and various water sports activities available.
The route is customized according to preference, though December to April is best for Langkawi, Phuket, Phang-Nga Bay, Mergui, and the Andaman, while May to October is ideal for Indonesia.
