Ngorongoro Crater & Lake ManyaraThis luxury safari camp is situated in a 16,000-hectare private reserve on the edge of an acacia forest overlooking Tanzania’s Lake Burunge with a magnificent backdrop of mountains. Little Chem Chem design combines vintage and modern styles, and it has a laidback atmosphere. There is an abundance of wildlife including lion, elephant, cheetah and leopard in the area.
Offering warm hospitality, stylish accommodation and superb big game viewing, the eco-lodge will appeal to couples and families seeking a unique and authentic ‘slow safari’ experience where you can immerse yourself in the African wilderness.
Little Chem Chem provides five spacious and lavish vintage-style tents with an ‘Out-of-Africa’ atmosphere and delightful verandahs with fire pits for cooler nights.
There are endless unforgettable adventures to be had from night game drives and guided walking safaris to bird watching and bush picnics. Scenic helicopter rides and hot air balloon trips can also be arranged.
The camp is closed between 1st April and 14th May each year.

Location and getting there
The lodge is located on the edge of Tarangire National Park in Tanzania. It is a 2-hour drive from Arusha airport and 3.5 hours from Kilimanjaro international airport.
Accommodation
It accommodates up to 10 guests in 5 tents (3 with king-size beds and 2 with twin beds) decorated in a safari chic style with a combination of classic and modern styles. Each tent comes with dark wood furnishings, a four-poster bed, an ensuite shower room with flush toilet and all modern amenities. A camp bed is available for 1 child aged 10 or over.
Activities
As well as game drives for the chance spot big game, activities include guided walking safaris, night game drives, bush picnics and anti-poaching safaris. Hot air balloon trips and scenic helicopter flights can be arranged.
Children
Children aged 10 or over are welcome at the lodge although they must be over 12 years old to go on big game walks. Childminders are available and there are special activities for younger guests to enjoy.
