Upon arrival in Muscat you’ll be met and escorted by private car to your hotel.
After settling in, you’ll head on a guided tour of Muscat taking in Muttrah, a delightful quarter complete with a traditional souk, narrow alleys and the scent of incense.
You’ll explore the old town that houses the Palace of Sultan Qaboos and the Portuguese fortresses of Jalali and Mirani. Lastly, visit the Bait Al Zubhair museum, which houses a fine collection of Omani artefacts.
This morning you’ll be driven to Nizwa through the spectacular Al Hajar mountains.
On the way you’ll visit the Nizwa souk, famous for its Bedouin silver jewellery, and stop in Bahla to view the UNESCO listed Fort before reaching Jabrin.
Today you’ll head out in a 4WD vehicle towards the mountains and craggy peaks of the village of Misfah.
After a picnic lunch you’ll continue to Jebel Shams, also known as the Mountain of the Sun and the country’s highest peak. The views here are astonishing.
You’ll return to Niwza for the night.
This morning you’ll continue in your 4WD to Sinaw, a market town with a thriving souq and camel market.
You’ll then head to the beautiful green oasis of Wadi Bani Khalid for a picnic around its clear green natural spring water pools.
In the afternoon you’ll reach Wahiba Sands after an exciting drive through the dunes. Expect an authentic and magical stay here in a stylish Bedouin camp under the stars.
Continue through the desert this morning, looking out for wildlife. Despite the barren landscape you can find wolf, fox, wild cats and white-tailed mongooses living here.
From the Wahiba you’ll enter Sur, a picturesque fishing town famous for its traditional Dhow boat building.
This morning you’ll following the coastal road back to Muscat.
You’ll have the chance to stop at Wadi Shaab, a beautiful oasis of freshwater pools, before arriving at the picturesque fishing village of Finns.
After the opportunity to go swimming and stopping off at Bammah Sinkhole, you’ll arrive in Muscat in the late afternoon.
Start the day with a visit to the Sultan Qaboos mosque, a splendour of Islamic architecture.
Continue to a local fish market before taking in the Batinah Plains, the main agricultural area of Oman.
You’ll stop at Nakhl oasis to visit its impressive fort, followed by the springs of Thowarah, before enjoying a farewell dinner.
Today you’ll be escorted to the airport for your onward journey.
