Hud Hud Camp

For a truly unique Omani adventure, Hud Hud Camp offers a bespoke private camping experience. The luxury mobile camps can be set up wherever guests wish to roam, from the spectacular red dunes of Wahiba Sands, to the craggy Hajar Mountains and the stunning coastline of the Gulf of Oman.

Hud Hud Camps feature Bedouin-style luxury tents, with a proper mattress, crisp linens, and colourful textiles and cushions. Rugs line the floor, and each tent has a private en suite with a basin and shower, and a veranda.

The majlis forms the heart of the camp, decorated in Arabian style with books and board games. Like the rest of the camp, it’s powered with solar energy along with candles and lamps. Meals are a mixture of Middle Eastern, North African and Mediterranean cuisine, and served under the stars.

Activities include traditional village visits, cultural excursions, wadi explorations, dune bashing, and 4WD adventures.

Location & Getting There

Private camps and bespoke trips typically depart from the port capital of Muscat. Muscat International Airport is located 32km from the old town.

Like something from the pages of One Thousand and One Nights, the private camps of Hud Hud Travels are an Arabian fairytale. Handmade Bedouin tents are set up on bleached white sands, and outfitted with rich tapestries, inviting beds, crisp cotton bedding, elegant furnishings, and luxury showers and baths. Traditional majlis with Arabic style seating are the perfect spot to relax. Dining is done at family-style tables shaded from the sun. There is no electric light at the camps; the sun and stars are supplemented by romantic candle light and light from oil lamps and fires.
