Day 1

Arrival Helsinki

Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be met by a representative and escorted by car to your accommodation in the city centre.

The remainder of your day will be spent at leisure.

Day 2

Helsinki

This morning your private guide will take you on a guided tour of Helsinki’s highlights. You can decide on the attractions you wish to visit, including Helsinki Cathedral, Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral, Market Square and Old Market Hall, Temppeliaukio rock church, and the Tori Quarters.

Once your tour is over, you’ll be free to continue exploring on your own.

Day 3

Helsinki - Kittila

Today, you’ll head north for the start of your Arctic Circle adventures.

A short flight will transport you to Kittila, where you’ll check into your unique accommodation – a glass igloo.

Relax in your igloo, take a dip in the outdoor hot tub, sip a glass of mulled wine, and admire uninterrupted views of the night sky – keep your eyes peeled for the Northern Lights.

Day 4

Kittila

After a night in your igloo scanning the skies for the Northern Lights, head to the slopes for a morning private ski lesson and the afternoon at leisure to practice what you have learned.

This evening relax in your igloo waiting for the magical lights to appear.

Day 5

Kittila

This morning it’s back to the slopes for another private ski lesson, before resting in the afternoon.

Late in the afternoon you’ll embark on a private tour of the SnowVillage, a renowned Lapland attraction that includes a hotel, suites, a restaurant, bar and chapel, all constructed from ice.

Top off the evening by wrapping up warm and enjoying a three-course meal in the ice restaurant followed by cocktails.

Day 6

Kittila

Today, the choice is yours – you can head back to the slopes for a final downhill run or relax in a Finnish sauna at the hotel.

Tonight you’re off on a snowmobile safari through snow-covered forests and frozen lakes, while watching for the Northern Lights. You’ll stop deep in the forest to enjoy a campfire snack of sausages and a hot drink around a warming fire.

Day 7

Rovaniemi

After breakfast, your private driver will whisk you to Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland and ‘official’ home of Santa Claus.

Check into your accommodation – the Arctic Treehouse Hotel suite – and enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

Tonight you’ll fulfil a childhood dream: a ride on a reindeer sleigh through snow-covered landscape. Meet local reindeer herders and learn about their lives, and keep checking the sky to see if the Northern Lights are dancing above your head.

Day 8

Rovaniemi

Today you’ll learn more about the spectacular nature and wildlife of the Arctic Circle with a day trip to the Ranua Wildlife Park.

You’ll see polar bears and up to 50 other Arctic species including Arctic foxes, moose, wolverines and several owl. Discover how conservation efforts are helping these endangered species.

Day 9

Rovaniemi – Departure

This morning, you’ll have one final Arctic adventure to enjoy: a husky safari through the Lappish wilderness. Your journey will take you between 16 to 22 kilometres through snowy forests.

You’ll have time to relax before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
