Located in Seville’s historic old quarter, Gran Melia Colon is a luxury design hotel, crowned by a magnificent stained-glass dome and rooftop pool and spa. A member of the exclusive Leading Hotels of the World, each floor celebrates a different Spanish artist with reproduction paintings complemented by period and contemporary furnishings.
The elegant guestrooms and suites feature striking black and white patterns, offset by gold headboards and accents. For superior features and service, book an exclusive RedLevel room; those on the penthouse floor feature terraces with unbeatable views of Seville.
El Burladero restaurant pays homage to the hotel’s bullfighting past and specializes in traditional tapas with a modern twist. There’s also an international buffet restaurant, Majestic, while El Tendido offers light snacks, desserts, and an extensive gin menu.
After exploring Seville, head to the rooftop for a dip in the petite pool with a view and a massage in the spa.

This hotel is one of the few five-star hotels in central Seville. Apart from the beautiful glass dome in the lobby, this refurbished historic hotel feels very modern, with pieces by designers like Philippe Starck and Edra. A distinctly Spanish feel is present throughout: amongst the red flower chairs, white chaise longues, black fringed pillars, and shiny gold pendant lamps, look out for replica bulls’ heads on the wall, and the tapas bar, El Burladero, has a bullfighting theme.
