Courchevel

Courchevel's ski area is the most famous of the Trois Vallées, the biggest linked ski area in the world. We love swanky Courchevel 1850 – by far the highest village – with its glamorous hotels, six Michelin-starred restaurants and airstrip catering to the Parisien jet set crowd.

Mostly north facing slopes ensure that Courchevel has consistently some of the finest powder in the world, aided by daily grooming of over 60 percent of the slopes. A gigantic 600km ski area offers plenty of skiing for all levels of experience from first timers to seasoned pros. There are sumptuous off-piste opportunities, especially the scenic tree-line runs.

Courchevel 1850 is a picturesque mountainside enclave surrounded by pine forests, with a Franco-chic atmosphere, high-fashion boutiques and – somewhat remarkably – the highest number of luxury hotels in France, with the exception of Paris. The air of sophistication is well balanced with a healthy dose of rustic Alpine charm, which we think is certainly part of its appeal.

Lightfoot Travel’s ski specialists have handpicked our portfolio of properties, which include private wooden chalets (complete with roaring open fire) and modern, ultra-luxury hotels. Contact our team for unbiased recommendations on the best accommodation for your needs. We will also arrange a private-jet transfer or helicopter transport from Geneva airport on request.
