Vienna’s newest luxury hotel, Park Hyatt Vienna occupies the former headquarters for the Bank of Austria in the city’s UNESCO-listed First District. The building’s stately elegance is preserved in its opulent interiors, where marble, stucco ceilings, chandeliers and wood panelling are infused with contemporary design.
The hotel’s 143 guestrooms and suites are the largest in the city. The refined rooms blend contemporary design with Viennese accents, including touches of Art Nouveau and Art Deco, while the en suites are bathed in marble. For the ultimate splurge, the Presidential Suite features an exquisite chandelier, grand piano and steam bath.
The Bank Brasserie and Bar serves brasserie classics with a modern twist and handcrafted cocktails, while the Lounge is the ideal spot for afternoon tea. There’s also a traditional Viennese coffeehouse, and traditional bar and cigar lounge.
Some of Vienna’s best attractions are nearby, including St Stephen’s Cathedral, Hofburg Palace and the Goldenes Quartier, while the hotel’s golden spa and swimming pool sit within the former bank vault.
