This classic itinerary showcases three of Costa Rica’s top highlights. You’ll zip line through the treetops in Arenal, explore the wildlife-rich wetlands of Tortuguero, and end with the jungle and beaches of Manuel Antonio.
Upon arrival at San Jose, you’ll be met by a LIghtfoot Travel representative and escorted by car to your accommodation in the peaceful Alajuela Province.

Today, you’ll head to the Tortuguero National Park on the Caribbean coast – you have the option of flying or choosing a boat and ground transfer.
Spend the rest of the day strolling around the gardens, go trekking, laze in a hammock or arrange a private excursion.
Start your day with an early morning bird and nature walk, before enjoying a three-hour boat trip of the creeks and lagoons in the national park. After lunch at the lodge, you’ll head on a tour of the village of Tortuguero.
Enjoy a second day of guided small group trips, exploring the landscape of Tortuguero.
Today you'll have the chance to take a boat trip along the flooded forest connected by a series of waterways. Your guide will help you spot wildlife, such as caimans, tropical water-birds, howler and capuchin monkeys. Look out for iguanas sitting on tree branches and macaws winging their way over your head.
Travel by boat and car to Guapiles, where you’ll pick up your transfer to Arenal.
After checking into your hotel there’s the option to enjoy a rejuvenating massage in the spa.
Start your day with a boat trip into the Arenal Volcano National Park, where you’ll hike to a great viewpoint overlooking the lake and explore an area previously destroyed by volcanic activity. Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for tropical birds.
