Carlisle Bay

This luxury boutique resort is part of the Leading Hotels of the World and lies on a gleaming beach with a rainforest backdrop on Antigua‘s south coast. It’s quite isolated, which means lots of privacy, but it’s also within relatively easy reach of the action in English Harbour.

There are 82 elegant and spacious suites tastefully decorated in an understated style. These restful retreats feature terraces or balconies where you can relax and enjoy the mesmerizing views. Some suites come with butlers who will be on hand to attend to your every need.

The hotel’s restaurants offer some of the best food in the Caribbean. Head to Indigo for your toes in the sand; East for fine dining; and The Jetty Grill for light lunches and drinks till dusk.

Location & Getting There
Carlisle Bay is located on Antigua's south coast in the West Indies. It is 16 km from the historic Nelson's Dockyard and 20 km from V.C. Bird International Airport.

Accommodation
It comprises 82 contemporary, sea-facing suites ranging from 72-sqm Garden Suites to 180-sqm Carlisle Suites (3-bed). Each is elegantly decorated in a Caribbean style with white walls, grey plantation shutters contrasting against the lush surroundings, a comfy king-size bed with Frette linens, ocean-inspired accents, floor-to-ceiling windows opening the terrace, and all modern amenities. Many rooms have direct beach access. For couples wishing to indulge, the Bay Suites are ideal. Couples and families each have a dedicated end of the resort.

Activities
Despite the size of the resort, there is an impressive list of activities at the resort including diving and snorkeling, yoga, tennis, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing. Deep-sea fishing and tours of the island taking in historic sights such as Admiral's House Museum and Nelson’s Dockyard can also be arranged.

Children
The resort is ideal for families and offers plenty of amenities for children including a kids' club (for 9 months to 12 years old) with an extensive activity program and fantastic indoor and outdoor space. Kids above 8 years old can do the Bubblemaker dive program. Families have a dedicated end of the resort. Babysitting is available on request.
