Hiking Australia
After days of walking in Australia, take time out for a cruise of the Freycinet coastline on board the hotel’s purpose-built vessel, Saffire. It’s a great way to unwind whilst taking in the scenery and being regaled by stories of Tasmania and its colourful characters.

Day 1 Arrival Perth - Margaret River
Upon arrival at Perth you’ll be met by a representative and privately escorted to Margaret River, a three-hour drive away.
For the next few nights you’ll be staying at Cape Lodge on the Margaret River which sits within 40 acres of land, including its own vineyard.

Day 2 Margaret River
Spend the next few days at leisure out on the Cape walking from Cape Naturaliste to Cape Leeuwin, and hiking through Western Australia’s iconic wildflowers and coastal health, along limestone ridges and through forests of hardwood.

Day 3 Perth - Sydney - Lord Howe Island
Today you’ll be escorted to the airport for your flight to Sydney where you’ll stay for one night.
After checking into your accommodation, the rest of the day will be spent at leisure.

Day 4 Lord Howe Island
Today you’ll fly to Lord Howe Island, where you’ll be met and escorted to your accommodation.
Capella Lodge is a great base from which to trek and hike around the region. Be sure to trek up Mount Gower - a tough but rewarding eight-hour guided hike - or for the less adventurous, head to the ocean for a relaxing day out.

Day 5 Lord Howe Island
Continue to enjoy your time at Capella Lodge.
Your Lightfoot Travel Designer will be able to advise on activities prior to departure.

Day 6 Lord Howe Island - Sydney - Hobart Airport - Saffire Lodge
Today involves a full day of travelling to Saffire Lodge, a luxury sanctuary on Tasmania's East coast.
Walk Hazards Beach Circuit including Wineglass Bay Lookout and to Great Oyster Bay, taking a swim along the way. For something less strenuous, walk from the lodge to Cape Tourville lighthouse, which offers views of the Tasman Sea and glimpses of Wineglass Bay.

Day 7 Hobart - Brisbane - Spicers Peak Lodge
On arrival in South East Queensland you’ll be privately transferred to Spicers Peak Lodge.
As Queensland’s highest mountain lodge, it’s surrounded by many memorable walking tracks. Lightfoot Travel recommends Mount Cordeaux Track which takes approximately two and a half hours, or a rainforest circuit ending at a breathtaking lookout.

Day 8 Spicers Peak
You will have today at your own leisure to explore what Spicers Peak has to offer
