Arrival Melbourne

Upon arrival in Melbourne you’ll be met by your guide and escorted to your accommodation.

Great Ocean Road

Enjoy an escorted drive along Victoria's Great Ocean Road. Marvel at the huge cliffs, roaring seas, tranquil coves, magnificent waterfalls and secluded beaches. Get an insight into Australian surfing culture at Bells Beach, discover seaside villages, spot koalas at Kennett River, view the sculptured beauty of The Twelve Apostles – and more.

Philip Island Penguin Parade

Today you’ll visit Phillip Island, home to Australian native wildlife including Little Penguins, fur seals and koalas. Explore the tree-top boardwalks to glimpse koalas in the natural habitat and wander the trails through Australian bushland looking for wallabies, echidnas and bats.

Next, make your way to Nobbies Centre to witness the world's second largest Australian Fur Seal Colony at Seal Rocks.

Day 4
Yarra Valley Day trip

Head to the Yarra Valley, just a short drive from Melbourne.

Explore the region, head on a behind-the-scenes barrel room tasting, enjoy lunch at one of the region’s picturesque vineyard restaurants, and meet the locals.

Time permitting, you can also visit the Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary.

Day 5
Melbourne – Ayers Rock

Today you’ll fly to Ayers Rock.

Before dusk you’ll head to Bruce Munro’s internationally acclaimed art phenomenon, Field of Light. Created from 50,000 bud-like stems and crowned with radiant frosted-glass spheres, the installation blooms and appears to sway as darkness descends over Australia’s spiritual heartland.

Walpa Gorge and Kata Tjuta, Mala Walk and Kantju Gorge

Explore the impressive formation of Kata Tjuta on a walk through Walpa Gorge, then visit the Cultural Centre for more insights and interactive displays.

In the afternoon, go on a guided walk along a portion of Uluru’s base and learn about the history of the Mala people and their cave painting.

You’ll enter Kantju Gorge at dusk to see the rock walls ablaze with the light of the setting sun over drinks and canapés.

Uluru - Sydney

Today you’ll fly to Sydney where you’ll be met by your guide and escorted to your accommodation.

Sydney City tour

Head on a tour of Sydney, taking in Macquarie Street, Wooloomooloo Bay, Garden Island, Kings Cross and the Eastern Suburb bays to Watsons Bay and The Gap. Stop at the shores of Bondi Beach, travel along Oxford Street, and see China Town and Darling Harbour.

Follow the sandstone coast from Mona Vale to Warriewood Headland, Narrabeen and Collaroy Beaches, visit Manly Beach to see the surfers, and marvel at the glamorous homes, gardens and golden beaches as you wind your way back to the city.

Day 9
Blue Mountains

Your first stop this morning is at Featherdale Wildlife Park, where you’ll have the chance to see kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, wombats and more.  

Then you’ll continue to the Blue Mountains National Park. Visit scenic lookouts, head to Wentworth Falls, and experience the local flora and fauna up close as your guide shares their knowledge.

Afterwards you’ll travel towards Katoomba. At Eagle Hawk lookout you’ll see the famous Three Sisters, then continue around Narrow Neck Plateau for more vantage points.

Sydney Opera House and Harbour Cruise

Enjoy a tour of the Sydney Opera House before heading on a harbour cruise. Try swimming, fishing and kayaking from the boat, or just relax on the expansive sunbed.

Day 11

Sydney - Port Douglas

Today you’ll fly to Cairns where you’ll be met upon arrival and escorted to your accommodation.

The rest of the day will be spent at your leisure.

Great Barrier Reef

Embark on a reef and island cruise to Low Isles. Moor in a sheltered blue lagoon and then relax on the island, join the guided snorkel tour, take a trip on a glass bottom boat or laze on deck.

Daintree Adventure Day tour

Begin your day with an early start to experience Daintree Rainforest at its best. Join a river cruise to spot crocs, snakes and eagles, then try jungle surfing through the rainforest canopy which not only provides thrills, but spectacular bird’s eye views over the treetops.

Port Douglas

Today will be free to spend at your leisure on the beach. Your Lightfoot Travel Designer will be able to advise on suitable activities or extra excursions prior to your departure.
