Akin to safari camps in Africa, Bamurru Plains features 10 safari bungalows built amongst the pandanus vegetation on the edge of the wetlands and overlooking the floodplains. Mesh screen floor-to-ceiling walls on all three sides around the bed provide an experience in which guests can hear, see, and almost touch the surrounding wildlife and wilderness. However, there is no internet access, television, or mobile phone coverage - a true immersion in the immediate environment.
Activities
There are numerous activities at Bamurru Plains, including safaris in open-top vehicles, an airboat trip on the floodplains, and a bushwalk in the savannah woodlands that fringe the floodplains (seasonal). Other activities include fishing, scenic helicopter flights, watching the seasonal buffalo muster on the floodplains, or taking a privately guided day trip to Kakadu National Park or Arnhem Land. This is the ultimate holiday for nature lovers!
Children
The camp is not suited for children under the age of 8.
