Lower ZambeziLocated within the exclusive Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia, Sausage Tree Camp, has redefined the safari experience and become the benchmark for Zambian bush chic.
Sausage Tree Camp hosts a maximum of eighteen guests, accommodated in seven luxury suites dotted discreetly along the riverbank. Each one is a spacious island of cool minimalist style serviced by a Muchinda (private butler), and boasts a unique open-air shower, a large deck with private plunge pool and lounge area, mini bar with leather sofas, and fabulous views. Kigelia House consists of two en suite bedrooms, a large living area, huge deck with built in swimming pool, plus a mini bar and dining table.
Relax after a busy day with a spot of game viewing from the privacy of your deck or cool off in the pool which overlooks the mighty Zambezi River.
Activities here are plentiful, with day and night game drives, bush walks and fishing available. A morning canoe trip along the channel alongside the camp is a must.

Location & Getting There
Sausage Tree Camp is located at lower Zambizi National Park. Flights are available from Lusaka, Lvingstone and Mfuwe to Jeki airstrip in the middle of the National Park, which is a 1 hour game-drive through to the camp. The other more adventurous option is the road and boat transfer from Lusaka. This consists of a 2 ½ hr drive to Chirundu, a border town on the Zambezi River. From here guests are transfered to the property by speed boats for a stunningly scenic boat cruise down the Zambezi.
Accommodation
Sausage Tree Camp comprises of a total of 8 tents, accommodating 18 guests. It has 7 Luxury Suites and a family suite (Kigelia House). The Luxury Suites are equipped with an open air en-suite bathroom that have spectacular private decks with Zambezi River views and a private plunge pool. The Kigelia house is the perfect stay for families with two en-suite bedrooms and a private deck and pool. All tents have hot and cold treated water.
Activities
The main draw is game viewing and guests can opt for game drives or walking safaris. Guests can also participate in cruises along the river, go canoeing or fishing.
