Upon arrival, you’ll be met at the airport and escorted to your accommodation.
Time permitting, you’ll have the chance to explore Cape Town’s compelling mix of dramatic modern architecture and old-world elegance, stunning vistas, dynamic suburbs and vibrant nightlife. Perhaps wander around the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, a working harbour and hub of entertainment and shopping.
Today you’ll taste your way around the city, exploring the backstreet cafes and secrets alleys where the locals like to dine.
From artisanal coffee and craft beer to traditional food, chocolate, biltong and cheese, you’ll experience a selection of the best gastronomic experiences on offer, and meet some of the finest local artisans from the hippest neighbourhoods.
Today you’ll be guided around the Cape Peninsula taking in the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, before crossing over to Hout Bay.
From here you’ll drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve via Chapman's Peak, one of the world's most breathtaking coastal drives.
You’ll take a funicular to the top of the Peninsula to enjoy views over False Bay.
After lunch you’ll continue to Simonstown, the naval base, and visit the African Penguin breeding colony at Boulders Beach.
You’ll stop at Kirstenbosch Gardens before returning to your hotel.
Today’s excursion commences with a tour of Table Mountain where you’ll enjoy views over the Mother City and the Atlantic Seaboard with Robben Island in the distance.
Afterwards, you’ll visit the Company Gardens and the South African Museum.
Next, you’ll head to the Castle of Good Hope, which was built between 1666 and 1679 and is the oldest surviving colonial building in South Africa.
On the drive through the city centre you’ll witness the Houses of Parliament, the Grand Parade and City Hall - where Nelson Mandela first addressed South Africans after his release in 1990.
Today’s drive will take you into the heart of the Cape Winelands, through mountain ranges, vineyards and Cape Dutch homesteads.
You’ll head to the wine country via Stellenbosch, and walk down the canal-lined avenues and alongside beautifully preserved historic buildings.
Enjoy your first wine tasting before you travel over the Helshoogte Pass to the town of Franschhoek which is hailed as the Gourmet Capital of South Africa. You’ll embark on another wine tasting before indulging in a meal at an award-winning restaurant.
After lunch, you’ll continue to Paarl, one of the Cape’s first farming districts, before completing your day at a wine estate on the Paarl wine route.
Today you’ll head to Stellenbosch, one of the most beautifully preserved historic towns in the country.
You’ll be guided on a tour of the old town centre, including a visit to the oldest house in town to appreciate the artisan skills of the first pioneers who settled here.
You’ll get to sample top quality, locally produced food and drinks including fresh cheese, charcuterie, bread, olives, biltong, ice-cream, had-crafted chocolates and beers, wine and locally roasted coffee.
This morning you’ll be driven to the Cederberg.
The Cederberg Wilderness Area and Bushmanskloof Wilderness are home to a diversity of bird and plant life and the region is inhabited by Cape mountain zebra, bontebok, aardwolf, Cape mountain leopard, numerous antelope species, wildcats and foxes.
Here, you’ll have the chance to go hiking, mountaineering, canoeing or swimming, and to explore the citrus valleys, rooibos tea plantations and wine cellar.
Today will be spent at your leisure. You can choose the activities from nature drives, rock art excursions, hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, and canoeing.
You will be privately transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
