Nothing beats the combination of these areas in Kenya, and witnessing conservation in Lewa will really add meaning to your experience. Don’t discount visiting in November and December, especially if you’re a keen photographer, when there are fewer people, fewer cars and impressive skies.

1 Turkana lake, Northern Kenya

Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival you’ll be met by your guide and escorted to your accommodation.

The rest of the day will be spent at your leisure. Time permitting, your Lightfoot Travel Designer can advise on activities prior to arrival.

Day 2
2 Turkana lake, Northern Kenya

Day 2
Nairobi – Lewa Downs

Today you’ll be escorted to the airport for your flight to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in northern Kenya.

Spend the next few days enjoying your surroundings. Embark on daily game drives searching for the big five as well as endangered rhinos while on safari. Go on guided walks with trained local guides, hike the remote valleys, hills and plains, and go horse riding to see giraffe, zebra, impala, waterbuck, eland, ostrich and baboons.

True adventurists will love Flying The Wilds – flying in an open cockpit with a pilot above the trees and herds of animals, and through gorges and ravines.

Day 3
3 Turkana lake, Northern Kenya

Today will be spent at leisure.

Embark on daily game drives; head on guided walks with trained local guides; hike the remote valleys, hills and plains; and go horse riding to see giraffe, zebra, impala, waterbuck, eland, ostrich and baboons.

Lewa – Maasai Mara

This morning you’ll fly to the Maasai Mara, where you’ll be met upon arrival and escorted to your accommodation.

For the next few days you can enjoy twice-daily game drives in the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve and surrounding areas. We also recommend embarking on a Hot Air Balloon Safari just before dawn – magical!

Maasai Mara - Amboseli National Park

Today you’ll fly to Amboseli National Park which encompasses open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps and marshland.

Head on game drives, guided walks, and learn about Maasai culture and indigenous lifestyles, all to the stunning backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

10 Turkana lake, Northern Kenya

Amboseli National Park – Diani Beach

Today you’ll fly to Diani Beach, a coastal town in the southern part of Mombasa.

Upon arrival you’ll be escorted to your beach front accommodation where you can indulge in activities such as kite surfing, snorkelling, diving and golf. Alternatively, just kick back by the pool, relax with a massage, or head to the beach with a cocktail and book in hand.

Spend today relaxing and enjoying activities on Diani Beach.

Departure
