Using locally crafted furniture from a Tanzanian sustainable teak farm, the hotel features solar electricity, outdoor showers, private terraces, a yoga and meditation room, spa, large heated saltwater swimming pool with jacuzzi and diving rocks, and an open-air fitness centre. The 12 rooms are stylish, airy and boutiquey in feel, with a clean palette and pops of colour for a relaxing experience.
The Retreat by Heaven’s superb fusion restaurant and Swahili-inspired bar offer delicious farm-to-table international cuisine, while Heaven Restaurant (reached through the Retreat’s “Stairway to Heaven”) offers an innovative modern African menu.

The Retreat by Heaven features 12 rooms (nine Superior King suites and three deluxe king suite) and is Kigali’s first entirely eco-friendly solar powered resort featuring locally crafted sustainable teak wood furniture, expansive custom-built rooms with peaked ceilings, front and rear private patios.
