In a country where hauntingly beautiful landscapes are almost the norm, it’s no mean feat when the vistas from Damaraland Camp have been lauded as the best in the country.
Each location of the ten generously sized thatched villas has been purposefully picked for spectacular views of the surrounding desert plains, ancient valleys and soaring peaks of the Brandberg Mountains.
Recognised as an award-winner for the eco-friendly construction, the camp is owned and largely run by the local community who have infused their optimism and cheerfulness into what you will experience at Damaraland Camp.
The spacious, thatched living area features a restaurant and bar, complete with fireplace. The swimming pool is conveniently located next to the bar. Evening meals are often prepared over an open fire and are laid out al fresco under crystal-clear night skies. Perfection!

"Located in the heart of the Huab River Valley, Damaraland Camp takes you off-the-beaten-track, and its peace and isolation make you feel as far removed from real life as possible. The camp has a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff who are devoted to making your stay enjoyable and memorable. The poolside lounge is particularly delightful, with an open-plan seating and dining area looking out towards the tabletop peaks of the Etendeka Mountains."
