Located in the southern wilderness of Kenya’s Maasai Mara, Sala’s Camp is a luxury tented camp near the Tanzanian border. Situated at the confluence of the Sand and Keekorok Rivers, this intimate camp offers wildlife and bird viewing, with panoramic views into the Serengeti.
Sala’s Camp accommodates up to 18 guests in seven luxury tents, including a spacious honeymoon tent that’s also suitable for families. The open-fronted tents feature comfortable lounge areas, en suites with hot showers, baths, flush toilets and running water, and decking with private plunge pools.
Safari activities revolve around game drives, with the camp being one of the first to see the annual Great Migration thunder from Tanzania’s Serengeti into the Maasai Mara. A hot air balloon ride gives you a different perspective, while sundowners around the campfire rounds off the day perfectly. Children are catered for with activities showing them the secrets of the bush.

Located in the wilder corner of Kenya’s famed Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Sala’s Camp is a 5-hour drive from Nairobi.
Accommodations
Sala's Camp is an intimate property with only 7 new ensuite tents accomodating up to 22 guests, decked in crisp white sheets, Africa throws and silken cushions. Each tent is designed with the utmost luxury safari experience in mind and has ensuite bathrooms and shower. There are three superior tents, two honeymoon tents and two family tents, boasting a selection suited for different guest groups. Decked in local wood materials, all of Sala's tents evoke an authentic Kenyan escapade mood amidst ultimate luxury, boasting in-room beauticians and handmade Kenyan toiletries, dessing fowns and flip flops.
Activities
Its close location to the Northern Corridor, where millions of wildebeest pass through during the yearly migration, makes it a perfect place for game viewing and quite an experience. While on a game drive, it is fairly common to spot the Big Five and walking safaris are also a great way to experience the wilderness. For something even more unique, guests can hop aboard a hot-air balloon for a panoramic aerial safari. Star gazers can also learn about the various formations in Kenya’s unpolluted skies.
Children
Children of all ages are welcome and under-threes stay free at Sala's Camp. There is much for children to learn whilst on a special safari programme where the spotters teach young guests all the secrets of the bush. Activities include searching for the 'toothbrush tree' and spotting the 'Little Five' on game drives. Baby-sitters and special menu for children also available by prior arrangement.
