This simple, rustic property blends into its natural surroundings while providing shelter against the strong winds.
Constructed from local volcanic stone, the hotel accommodates guests in simple en suite rooms, adorned with local textiles and powered by solar energy. There are also snug feather duvets and heaters.
The restaurant serves an American breakfast, and a variety of local and international dishes for lunch and dinner, complemented by local wines and beers.
The only hotel in the area, Tayka del Desierto is ideally placed for exploring the bizarre rock formations, colourful lagoons, geysers and fumaroles of the Eduardo Abaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve. You can also observe Andean fauna, see migrating birds, and enjoy stargazing.
