Tukta Bay Lodge sits within a protected cove at the tip of the Kenai Peninsula, at the entrance to Kachemak Bay. One of National Geographic’s Unique Lodges of the World, this Alaskan wilderness lodge is surrounded by rugged fjords, glacial mountains, Sitka spruce forests, and incredible wildlife.
Guests stay in six rustic wooden cabins, accommodating between two and seven people each. Thick duvets and wood-burning stoves keep the interior comfortable, and each has a bathroom and private deck.
The restaurant serves succulent Alaskan seafood on a sea-to-table basis. Guests are invited to participate in the entire process from fishing and foraging to preparing meals in the onsite cookery school and, of course, feasting on their dishes.
Daily activities are tailored to guests’ interests, from fishing, kayaking, and hiking to flightseeing and boat tours. All excursions offer wildlife-viewing opportunities, while a soak in the hot tub is the perfect way to end the day.
This lodge offers a truly Alaskan experience, from the cozy interiors to the number of outdoor activities available.
