Located on the fringes of the Sahara, Dar Ahlam is a 200-year-old restored kasbah set amongst palm groves and almond trees. This luxurious desert hideaway includes lush, manicured gardens, a pool flanked by palm trees, spa facilities, discreet yet attentive service, and views of the Atlas Mountains.
The intimate kasbah offers 14 suites in the warren-like main building, plus a private villa with plunge pool in the grounds. Rooms are decorated in neutral, earthy tones with antiques and textiles, open fireplaces, and large bathrooms.
Dining is a unique experience. There’s no restaurant or bar as such; meals are curated for each guest and served in a different location each night. The menu combines traditional Moroccan cuisine with contemporary twists.
There’s a stunning pool and a hammam offering a range of indulgent treatments. Activities here include horse riding, camel safaris, picnics, cookery classes, and the opportunity to spend the night at a desert camp under the stars.
