Day 1

Day 1
Arrival Kauai

Upon arrival at the airport you’ll be met by a representative and shown to your first rental car. You’ll then make your way to first hotel of the holiday, Koa Kea Hotel & Resort.

After settling in the rest of the day will be spent at your leisure. We recommend strolling along the beach and familiarising yourself with the excellent facilities that include a saltwater pool and oceanfront spa.

Day 2
Explore Kauai’s Natural Wonders

After breakfast, you’ll set off on a half-day private hike around Waimea Canyon, located on the western side of the island.

In the afternoon, enjoy a private kayak trip down Hanalei River and into Hanalei Bay where you’ll see Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles before doing a spot of snorkelling.

Day 3
Na Pali Coast Rafting Adventure

Today, you’ll enjoy a half day rafting trip along the rugged Na Pali coastline. Your expert guides will take you into sea caves and past mesmerising waterfalls, cliffs and pinnacles, spotting sea life along the way.

If you still have the energy there’ll be time to explore Old Koloa Town or visit Spouting Horn, one of the island’s natural wonders.

Day 4
Arrival Maui

This morning you’ll drop your rental car back at the airport and take a short domestic flight to the island of Maui.

On arrival, you’ll collect your next rental car and head for Andaz Maui Hotel, a charming beachfront property and your home for the next three nights.

After unpacking you can explore the hotel and your surroundings at leisure. As well as private access to Mokapu Beach, there are five dining options, four infinity pools, a poolside cocktail lounge and a pool just for adults.

Day 5
Maui by Helicopter

Explore Maui from the air.

Fly over Haleakala National Park, Haleakala Crater, Oheo Gulch (Seven Pools), Hana town and the Hana Rainforest Preserve - the largest rainforest in the United States.

The rest of the day will be free for you to do as you please.

Day 6

Day 6
Explore Maui At Leisure

Today will be yours to do as little or as much as you like. If you have a 4×4, it’s fun to drive along the road to Hana.

Alternatively, you can explore Maui on mountain bikes, visit a pineapple farm, enjoy a surfing or paddle boarding lesson, or just relax by the pool.

Day 7
The Big Island

This morning you’ll take a short domestic flight to the Big Island (officially named Hawaii).

You’ll pick up your next rental car and drive for 40-minutes to your accommodation on the Kohala Coast of Waikoloa.

For the remainder of the day you can relax in the comfort of your room, enjoy a blissful massage in the open-air at the Hawaiian spa, chill by the pool or indulge in one of the many activities on offer. Your Lightfoot Travel Designer will be happy to recommend options prior to departure.

Circle of Fire and Waterfalls Heli Tour

This morning you’ll head on an exciting heli tour, taking in views of lavas flows, tropical rain forests and spectacular waterfalls while learning about the history and culture of Hawaii as you go.

Spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Day At Leisure

Today is your chance to try snorkelling in Kealakekua Bay, horse riding down to the wild black sand beach, or visiting ancient temples in Pu’uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park. Your Lightfoot Travel Designer can share more options.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

In the morning you’ll drive two-hours across the Big Island to Volcano House.

This utterly charming hotel is located in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park which has 150 miles of hiking trails and can be explored on foot or by bike. We highly recommend visiting the Thurston Lava Tube, a 500-year old lava cave, and the famed Kilauea volcano.

Day 11
Waikiki Beach and Shopping

After returning your rental car to the airport you’ll catch your flight to Honolulu.

Your next rental car will be waiting for you at the airport, and after picking it up you’ll head to Halekulani, a beautiful hotel on Waikiki Beach.

Spend the rest of your day at leisure building up an appetite for dinner at La Mer, one of three restaurants in the hotel.

Day 12

Honolulu

Today is free for you to do as you please. Visit Pearl Harbour, go a dolphin cruise or try shark cage diving if you’re feeling adventurous. Your Lightfoot Travel Designer can recommend suitable activities and tours prior to departure.
