Why House is a fabulous boutique villa, catering for large parties in its spacious ensuite guestrooms which are split between the main building, cabanas, and garden villa. The rooms fuse sophisticated European tastes with the tropics of Sri Lanka creating a luxurious and comforting home for you and your family.
The ornate dining pavilion showcases 360-degree views of the garden and will undoubtedly become your key social space during the holiday. With it comes a second open-plan kitchen where the staff will concoct a drink of your choice and whip up aromatic snacks from the open-top grill or BBQ.
The older kids can go off snorkeling, boogie boarding, or surfing, or perhaps you’d all fancy a day trip out on the seas hoping to be followed by whales or dolphins!

Why House is nestled within 3 acres of stunningly landscaped gardens of tropical plants, fruit and spice trees, a short walk from Wijaya Beach, and a 3-4 hours drive from Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport.
Accommodation
The fabulous boutique villa has spacious ensuite guestrooms split between the main building, 2 cabanas, and the garden villa. Main house suites are perfect for families, with the option of a triple room that hosts a double and single bed. The 2 cabanas comprise of split king beds, totally private with covered walkways to the bathrooms. Lastly, the garden villa has 3 rooms. One large room accommodates two adults and two children, a slightly smaller room accommodates two adults and one child, and the garden room has a double bed with a mezzanine floor.
Activities
A wealth of activities await both at and outside of Why House. These include shopping excursions, visits to nearby temples, bicycle rides, fort tours, elephant rides, and Sri Lankan traditional dancing. Sports available are volleyball, badminton, snorkeling, surfing, boogie boarding, fishing, seasonal whale, and dolphin watching.
Children
Children are welcome. Babysitting services and a DVD library are available for their entertainment.
