Individually designed, the 14 Maharaja-style tents are exquisitely furnished and feature ornate king-size beds, signature camp furniture, en suite bathrooms with hot showers and a butler service. Each tent is air-conditioned and includes a private deck offering stunning views.
The concept of the camps is to take you far off the beaten track, yet have a base that offers all the luxury you want. By day you can visit the ancient city of Leh and the Thiksey monastery, watch a game of polo, raft along the Indus River or enjoy a picnic. Afterwards, return to the camp for evenings by the fire, talks from experts and gourmet cuisine served under the stars.

Chamba Camp at Ladakh is glamping at its best; just lay on your bed and you’ll be rewarded with views of cobalt blue skies, snow peak mountains and wild flowers. While here I highly recommend a hike up to Thiksey Monastery, which is located beside the camp, to experience the morning prayers and to listen to the monks chanting. It begins at around 6:30am and is a magical experience not to missed.
