Why we recommend Belmond Maroma Resort & Spa

Belmond Maroma is neatly tucked away and protected by jungle, so while there are masses to do in the area, for those who want, there is also plenty of R&R to be had here. The hotel is along a beautiful stretch of beach, and we love their beach bar, Freddy’s, where the bartenders create amazing cocktails named after nearby Mayan sites using local ingredients. We highly recommend the Ocean-front One Bedroom Suites which are utterly relaxing.
